Uncomfortable holsters are the worst
The purpose of concealed carry versus open carry is the element of surprise.
You don’t want people to know you’re carrying. That’s why we care so much about printing (being able to see your gun through your clothing).
One thing that’s a dead giveaway is fidgeting with your setup. And this tends to happen when you’re new, nervous and uncomfortable. When I say uncomfortable, I mean either mentally, physically or both.
There’s nothing worse than wearing an uncomfortable holster out in public. I’m a fidgety person so I have to be extra conscious of messing with my setup because I don’t want anyone to know I’m carrying.
It’s best to work on your setup at home and make sure it’s good before you leave the house.
But if your holster feels uncomfortable, find a discreet place to make adjustments. Step into a restroom stall, go to your vehicle, or get out of a public area.
Also, make sure you’re adjusting the holster and not your firearm. You shouldn’t touch your firearm in this process. You want to avoid it coming out of the holster and any chance of negligent discharge.
